Yoga

Yoga is an ancient science that developed in India thousands of years ago. The emphasis is on physical and mental well-being. No matter what your age, physical condition or abilities, you can practice yoga, and you will benefit from it because Yoga brings harmony to the body, mind, and spirit.

Yoga postures exercise every part of the body. They not only stretch and tone the muscles, the joints, the spine, and the entire skeleton, but also exercise the internal organs, glands and nerves, helping to keep all the body systems in balanced health. You soon discover that these exercises release physical and mental tension, which in turn allows more energy to flow into the body. This “new found” energy makes you feel stronger, more youthful, and more alive.

Yoga is good for those people who want to keep their bodies fit and supple. It can help those who have tension in their necks, constant backaches, or headaches by relaxing and stretching the muscles of the neck and spine. No matter what your age it can be the tool that brings you greater physical health, improves your attitude toward life, and gives you peace of mind.

No special equipment or uniforms are needed. The only requirements are regular class attendance, consistent practice (daily is recommended), and the desire to live a healthier, more fulfilling and peaceful life.
