He has undergone training in various styles such as Boxing, Muay Thai, Shaolin Kung Fu, Kung Fu Sansu, Hap Do Sool (Korean Jujitsu), Jujitsu, and Judo. He attained instructor status in Muay Thai, a 2nd degree belt in Kung Fu Sansu, a 7th degree black belt in Shaolin Kung Fu, a 4th degree black belt in Hap Do Sool, a 1st degree black belt in Judo, and a 6th degree black belt in Jujitsu. He has participated in various martial arts tournaments including ring fighting, Judo, and boxing. When he originally started teaching, he began teaching Kung Fu Sansu. He then went to teach Shaolin Kung Fu. He later began teaching under Hap Do Sool. Then he decided he wanted to create a mixed teaching style that included all the best and most effective technique he acquired from all the various martial arts styles he learned. So began Combined Martial Science. CMS has been in business for 16 years and currently has nearly 400 students. CMS has the largest submission-grappling program for children in southern California.
